Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Yurumi, the company that operates Mashu (“Mashu”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Mashu, you agree to these Terms. If you use Mashu on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.

1. Who We Are

Mashu is a service operated by Yurumi, a business registered in Sweden:

  • Legal name: Yurumi
  • Organisation number: 971102-5701
  • Registered address: Borgg. 5, Ske-hamn, Sweden
  • Contact: hey@mashu.io

You can reach us at hey@mashu.io for any question about these Terms, your account, or your data.

2. The Service

Mashu is a daily business-development assistant for people building web apps and online businesses. It reviews your public web presence, helps you set a goal with milestones, and gives you a short, prioritised set of growth actions each day — including ready-to-use drafts for posts and outreach. Mashu can also connect to your analytics and social accounts to ground its recommendations, and shows an anonymised industry benchmark drawn from apps we study.

Mashu's outputs — reviews, tasks, drafts, benchmarks and recommendations — are generated with the help of AI and are provided as guidance only. They do not constitute professional business, legal, financial or technical advice, and do not guarantee any particular outcome.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Mashu. Because a paid subscription is a binding contract, you must be at least 18 (or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian) to purchase a paid plan.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit URLs for apps or websites that you do not own or have permission to analyse
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person or organisation
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent any part of the Service
  • Use automated means to access the Service in a manner that exceeds normal usage
  • Resell or redistribute Mashu's outputs without our written permission

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Mashu offers a free plan and paid plans. Paid plans are billed in advance, on a monthly or yearly basis, through our payment processor Stripe. Prices shown to consumers include any applicable VAT; prices shown to businesses exclude VAT.

Automatic renewal. Your paid subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. We will give you reasonable advance notice of any price change that affects your renewal.

Where founding-member or launch pricing is offered, the price you sign up at is the price shown to you at checkout.

6. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have the right to withdraw from a new paid subscription within 14 days of purchase, without giving any reason.

Because Mashu is a digital service supplied immediately, when you buy a paid plan you will be asked to expressly request that we begin providing it right away and to acknowledge that, once provision has begun, you lose your right of withdrawal for the part already supplied. If you withdraw after use has begun, you must pay a proportionate amount for the period already provided, and we refund the remainder.

To withdraw, send a clear statement of your decision to hey@mashu.io within the 14-day period (you may use the model withdrawal form, available on request). We will confirm receipt and process any refund without undue delay, using the same payment method you used.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel a paid plan at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then; we do not otherwise refund unused time.

The statutory right of withdrawal in section 6 is separate from, and additional to, this cancellation right. Nothing in this section limits your mandatory rights as a consumer.

8. Connected Accounts & Integrations

You can choose to connect third-party accounts — such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or Instagram — so Mashu can read the metrics that ground your plan. We access only the data needed for that purpose, store any access tokens securely, and let you disconnect at any time.

Your use of those third-party services remains subject to their own terms. How we handle data from connected accounts is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Screenshots on Marketing Pages

By submitting a URL for review, you acknowledge that Mashu may editorially select and display a screenshot of that publicly accessible page in our marketing materials — such as the homepage showcase — to illustrate apps reviewed on the platform.

Only publicly visible pages (no login required) are ever captured, screenshots are chosen manually by our staff, and none are shown where the owner has opted out. Active paid subscribers are not shown in the public showcase by default.

Removal. To request removal of a screenshot, email hey@mashu.io. We act on removal requests promptly, typically within 48 hours.

10. Your Data & Privacy

How we collect and use personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Yurumi is the data controller for that processing.

Your Mashu account and app data are stored on servers in the European Union; some limited processing (such as AI, email and analytics) may occur outside the EU under GDPR safeguards, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

You have rights under the GDPR — including access, rectification, erasure, portability and objection — and the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY). Where providing certain data is necessary to enter into or perform this contract, we tell you at the point of collection.

11. Intellectual Property & Your Content

Mashu and its content — the interface, branding, models, prompts, images and videos — are owned by Yurumi and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, download, or reuse our media without permission.

Reports, tasks and drafts Mashu generates for your account are yours to use for your own internal business purposes, but you may not republish or commercialise the Service's outputs without our written permission. You keep the rights to the content and information you provide, and grant us the licence needed to operate the Service for you.

12. AI-Generated Content

Parts of the Service use AI to generate reviews, tasks, drafts and recommendations. AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. You are responsible for reviewing anything before you act on it or publish it — Mashu is a tool to assist your judgement, not a substitute for it.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. This does not affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yurumi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer.

15. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service (or any part of it), and update these Terms, from time to time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes to these Terms by email or in-app notification. If you continue using Mashu after the changes take effect, you accept the revised Terms; if you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and cancel.

16. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

We aim to resolve any complaint directly, so please email hey@mashu.io first. Consumers in Sweden may also refer a dispute to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN — arn.se); consumers elsewhere in the EU can use their national equivalent.
